Pet Mutilation in Falcon Ranch

This is beyond disturbing. If you live in Falcon Ranch and have any knowledge of the person or persons responsible for this please call the Katy Police Department at (281) 391-4848

…..When Falcon Ranch resident Sam Daughtery took his oldest son to school Thursday morning, he came upon an appalling sight: one of the family cats was laying directly in front of the family’s home, severed in half.

“He was right there in front of the house in the street. I had seen him and I wasn’t trying to draw any attention to him while I was taking my son to school,” he said.

Daughtery proceeded to pick the cat up take him to a veterinarian between 9 and 9:30 a.m. to determine the culprit behind the attack. He then listened in shock as she adamantly stated that someone had surgically severed the body in half.

“It looks like someone mutilated him and brought him down here–because there were little drops of blood leading from the end of the cul-de-sac to my house–and placed him in front of my house,” Daughtery said. “I think the odds of someone finding a cat, severing it in half and leaving it in front of the owner’s house, for that to be a coincidence is highly unlikely considering there were three houses on either side of the road they had to get to before reaching mine.”

According to Daughtery, the veterinarian took pictures to support her findings, and he filed a police report around 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

There have been at least four cat mutilations in the neighborhood in recent times according to Daughtery.

In one instance he says there was a cat’s torso, along with its amputated arms, tossed in someone’s backyard.

In a separate incident, there was another cat cut in half and placed in a resident’s yard.

“To think that this happening in our neighborhood, it’s just not something you would expect to happen here,” Daughtery said.

He added that several of his neighbors’ cats have gone missing this year–one since January and the other about two weeks ago.
